ServiceTitan audit

A ServiceTitan audit that finds what’s actually breaking and what to fix first.

A structured review of how your team really uses ServiceTitan. Each workflow is tested against evidence, each issue is rated for risk, and the result is a prioritized plan you can act on.

Core audit starting at $2,500. A focused diagnostic ($1,000–$1,500) is available when you have one specific problem.

The problem

You can’t fix what you can’t see.

“We paid for the implementation, but a lot of it goes unused.”
“Techs and CSRs each do it their own way.”
“Reports look fine until someone checks them against reality.”
“We know something is off. We don’t know where to start.”
Why it happens

Workflow breakdowns hide in small habits: missing job data, ignored statuses, estimates nobody follows up. They surface later as margin leakage, slow collections and reports that can’t be trusted.

How Throughline approaches it

Evidence first, opinions second.

01 / Scope

Agree what to review

The areas, systems and people involved, so the audit answers your real questions.

02 / Evidence

Test, don’t assume

Review configuration, run data tests against ServiceTitan records and walk through workflows with the people who run them.

03 / Findings

Document every issue

Each finding has evidence, a risk rating and a recommendation.

04 / Plan

Prioritize the fixes

A 90-day improvement roadmap ranked by priority and effort. A retest can be scoped separately.

The method

Every finding traces back to evidence.

The same chain is followed for every workflow in scope, so nothing in the report rests on opinion.

  • Call booking and dispatch
  • Estimates and sales follow-up
  • Job completion and data capture

The final list depends on your business and what you want answered.

Scope

What’s included, and what isn’t.

Exact scope, deliverables and fee are confirmed in writing before work begins.

Included
  • One kickoff meeting and up to three stakeholder interviews
  • Review of three agreed workflows
  • Configuration and reporting checks using a defined sample
  • An evidence-backed findings report with priorities
  • A 90-day improvement roadmap
  • One presentation of findings and a clarification round
Not part of this service
  • Making the fixes (scoped separately as implementation)
  • Additional workflows, interviews or ServiceTitan accounts beyond the core scope (quoted separately)
  • Financial statement audits or tax compliance, since this is an operations review
  • Evaluations of individual employees

Who it’s for

A good fit, and when to choose something else.

A good fit when
  • Live on ServiceTitan, but results don’t match what you expected
  • A growth spurt, leadership change or new manager who needs a clear picture
  • Planning dashboards or automation and wanting to fix the foundations first
Probably not the right fit when
  • You already know the one specific problem. The focused diagnostic ($1,000–$1,500) is a better fit
  • You want the fixes made in the same step. Those are scoped after the findings

Deliverables

Examples of deliverables

Findings report

A plain-language report for owners and leaders: what was found, where, and why it matters.

Evidence behind each finding

The sample records and checks each finding rests on, so nothing relies on opinion.

Priorities

Findings ranked so you know what to fix first.

90-day improvement roadmap

The fixes sequenced over the first 90 days, with suggested owners.

Findings presentation

One walkthrough of the results with your team.

Clarification round

A chance to ask questions and confirm what the findings mean for you.

How to start

Three steps to a clear scope.

  1. 01
Send a short brief: your systems, your team size and what feels wrong.
  2. 02
Have a scoping call to agree the three workflows, the stakeholders and the access needed.
  3. 03
Receive a written scope and fee before the audit begins. Already agreed? Pay for the core audit on the pricing page.

Questions

Before you ask.

1What does the audit cost?

The core audit starts at $2,500 and includes one kickoff meeting, up to three stakeholder interviews, a review of three agreed workflows, configuration and reporting checks using a defined sample, an evidence-backed findings report with priorities, a 90-day improvement roadmap, and one presentation of findings with a clarification round. Larger scopes are quoted in writing before work begins.

2What if I only have one specific problem?

Choose the focused diagnostic ($1,000–$1,500): a narrower review of that single problem, scoped and priced in writing before work begins. If the review shows a wider issue, you can move to the core audit.

3How long does an audit take?

It depends on the number of areas and how much data is involved. The timeline is agreed in the written scope before work begins.

4Is this an accounting audit?

No. It is an operational review of how ServiceTitan is configured and used. Where financial data is involved, the aim is to find process and mapping problems, not to give accounting or tax advice.

5What access do you need?

Typically read access to ServiceTitan plus time with the people who run each process. Access is agreed in advance, and credentials are never sent by email.

6Will you fix what you find?

Fixes are optional and scoped separately, so you can act on the plan with me, with your own team or with another partner.
